It offers a relaxed setting that suits both casual catch-ups and solo visits for a quiet coffee break. The vibe here is unpretentious with a cozy, laid-back atmosphere that encourages lingering over a flat white or a portobello mushroom rosti topped with eggs and halloumi.

This is the kind of place you’ll find locals dropping by on weekend mornings for an all-day breakfast experience, where creative takes on classics like French toast and smoked fish hash stand out. The menu balances hearty brunch staples with some lighter options like vegan tofu poke bowls and fruit smoothies, catering to a range of tastes. I recently placed a review for ONE Onehunga after visiting with my wife, for brunch, she had previously been there and had a great experience...I had a less than great meal and service. In reply to that review the asked me to give them another chance..we did today. The difference was night and day, where to start....the tea was fantastic and they had sweetener ( none last time). The big breakfast ( One breakfast) was much improved, seasoned mushroom and tomatoes, great eggs, perfect lightly cooked bacon. The service was quick, polite and professional. Now the small things....there were staff cleaning, not just tables but other surfaces when not busy, fresh flowers on the tables, the owner training the staff in quite periods....very impressive. I am really pleased to have been proven wrong in regard to my previous review and thank you to the owners for their pleasant reply to that review and the conversation I had with one of the owners this morning.

Love this cafe! Although I've only attended their pop-up events, the owners' passion and friendliness shine through. The meals at these events were authentic, very well made and served. Can't wait to visit for a cafe meal and experience their hospitality. Highly recommend! 5/5 stars.

Great vibe, excellent coffee and most of all, the food was very delicious. The young staff were accommodating and friendly. Private parking out the back and available on the street. Highly recommend the coffee.

This cute corner café serves amazing food, though the service can be a bit slow. The coffee is tasty, with a smooth flavor that could be richer with a thicker texture. Overall, a decent spot worth a relaxed visit.

Great place for early start of day, as you will be greeted with care and love Best cheese scone ever! Freshly baked which moisture, texture and taste is perfection! And coffee is also great! Not a lot of place can do coffee and bakery well at the same time!

Onehunga Neighbourhood Eatery is a hidden gem that effortlessly blends warmth, flavor, and community spirit. The café’s charm isn’t just in its cozy ambiance but in the heartfelt hospitality of owners Anirudh & Baptist, who make every guest feel like family. The menu? A masterpiece. My personal favorites—Masala Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough and the Vegetarian Breakfast—are pure magic on a plate. The bold spices, the perfect textures, and the fresh ingredients make each bite an experience worth savoring. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out. This isn’t just brunch; it’s a ritual. Highly recommend!
